Artist Statement
I first exhibited floccinaucinihilipilification in 2018 at Angela Meleca Gallery in a solo exhibition entitled Fake. The entire exhibition was devoted to my distain for Trump. The coat is made entirely of paper. The text is made up of Trump quotes disparaging women, assemble like a ransom note. The titles meaning is the action or habit of estimating something as worthless.
About the Artist
I am currently the Director of the Beeler gallery on the campus of CCAD, I will have retired by the time of this exhibition. I received my MFA from OSU in 1992 and went on to have a teaching career at CCAD. I live just south of Campus in the Short North, my wife Tamie and I raised three sons here, Eric, Sam and Cole.
