Artist Statement

This compilation features seven erotic queer collage poems. Sourcing every word from a print bible allows me to physically and spiritually deconstruct religious influence over my body. Among these works is "in our bodies"- a love letter to the autonomy of queer bodies, to the power of creation, to the celebration of sexual desire, and to my husband.

in our bodies We proclaim the truth

To each person

the manifestation of the Spirit is

their own,

the body is

a dwelling in the heavens,

We are enti-

tled of ourselves to take credit for

designing it to be lived in

you are beautiful, my lover-

strap sunk deep in

me,

and your hand

upon me.

And from my flesh I shall see God;

my inmost being

reflected

In your eyes

For I will stretch forth my hand

tracing the scar

on your chest

in awe of the

power to express

what lies in the heart

your body is

handiwork, created in

the divine image

You are the temple

rocking the flesh of my flesh;

and we are

ambassadors for creation

What ardent desire

we possess in earthen vessels

I am

wonderfully made;

screaming in ecstasy

as I climax

that I love

being trans

I lay in bed,

catching My breath

watching you

take the Andro gel,

and

rub it on me as

after care
