My job is to remove trash found in the parks. There is a college nearby with a significant Turning Point presence. I was cleaning the park once and found these flyers, and since its not a parks-organized event, they were technically trash. I removed them. Turning Point is a Christian Nationalist organization that is notable for their homophobia and transphobia. I watched them drag a 10-foot above ground pool up to the amphitheater only to discover that the water hookup only held 100 gallons. Does it make me a bad person to find their disappointment amusing? A small-town queer can have a little schadenfreude as a treat.
