Artist Statement
This work is a direct reaction to the aftermath of the cartel bombings that took place in Puerta Vallerta Mexico on Feb. 22, 2026. I was present when that happened. It was scary. I did this piece because I had to make sense of witnesseing this act of terrorism. I had to find beauty at the heart of it all.
