Artist Statement
This Artwork was created as part of a series of self portraits made with the intention of expressing different parts of my personality. Each piece conveys a different emotion and feeling. The anonimity provided by the collage faces allowed me the freedom to express myself without worrying about societal judgement or taboo. It is a personal act of resistance against expectations of how people should present and express themselves.
About the Artist
I am a mixed media artist based out of South Wales. I use a combination of photography, painting, sculpture, collage, scanography & digital tools to create unique artwork. I love nature, rust, decay, machines, robots, landscapes, monsters and textures. I look for beauty in discarded things. I have 16 plus years visual arts experience and am constantly experimenting with new ways to combine ideas and artforms.
