Artist Statement
For my my pratice it is a form of survival. I started making while healing from lung cancer and "stuck" with it.This piece is about perimenopause and the mountain you have to climb before we reach menopause.I can see the brain fog lifting.I collage for mental health and to elevate collage as a medium.
About the Artist
Cherie Savoie Tintary is based out of Forest Grove Oregon, She has been exhibiting art for twenty years. She was an analog photographer, but due to a medical issue, she switched mediums to analog collage in 2020. Her work has been published in Kolaj Magazine, Contemporary Collage Magazine, PNW Collage Collective, Paris Collage Collective, Special Agent Collage Collective,Semioculus.
