Year: 2025 | Medium: Little Golden Book cover, collage elements | Dimensions: 11.5 x 9.5 inches | Display: Wall-hung (2D)

Artist Statement

This piece features the presidential seal and children with targets on their backs. This could be interpreted quite literally with the president signing off on the deaths of children from gun violence in schools, to children in Iran, to children in detention centers. It could also be interpreted as metaphor for all of the other ways the government is harming children- cutting Snap benefits, Medicaid, and funding to the Department of Education.
